New TimeBase Point-in-Time Videos for Training

Friday 2 December 2016 @ 12.53 p.m.

Utilising innovative technology, combined with a deep understanding of legal research requirements, TimeBase’s Point-in-Time services provide a unique and intuitive legal research tool. And now, they are even easier to use with our new training videos linked through Youtube.

Background to Point-in-Time

TimeBase Point-in-Time enables users to create complete legislation pictures at any date (past, present or future), access date-sensitive related materials linked at section level, form instant red-line comparisons of versions of provisions as they were at different dates and access version histories of all sections irrespective of legislative instrument.

TimeBase Point-in-Time documents, unlike Historical Versions, are living documents. This simply means that each section of the legislation could have a completely different scope date in the service (and have date sensitive information at any level – part, chapter, section or whole legislation) and the researcher would only be shown a snapshot of the sections as they exist at the exact point-in-time they picked.

TimeBase Point-in-Time puts the power of legal research into the hands of the researcher rather than the version dates for the Historical Versions (and does away with the idea of needing to manually consolidate anything).
