The Competition and Consumer Point-in-Time Service has been updated to include the Telstra Corporation and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2021 (Cth) (Act 140 of 2021) and the Competition and Consumer Amendment (Consumer Data Right) Regulations 2021 (Cth).

Act 140 of 2021

The Telstra Corporation and Other Legislation Amendment Act (the Act) would amend legislation relating to Telstra Corporation Limited (Telstra) to ensure regulatory equivalency of obligations across the restructured Telstra group, as suggested in Telstra’s proposed Scheme of Arrangement pursuant to the Corporations Act 2001.

Competition and Consumer Amendment (Consumer Data Right) Regulations 2021

This Regulation exempts the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) from certain privacy safeguard obligations under the Consumer Data Right (CDR) provisions in the Act, and conversely, apply privacy safeguard obligations to a retailer who receives CDR data from AEMO.

These amendments have been updated in the Point-in-Time Competition and Consumer Service current to 22 December 2021. (NB: Subscription required).
