Tuesday 2 June 2026 @ 8.30 a.m.

The Income Tax Point-in-Time Service has been updated to include the Treasury Laws Amendment (The Survivors Law) Act 2026 (Cth) (Act No 47 of 2026).

Act 47 of 2026

This Act creates a framework enabling victims and survivors of child sexual abuse and other similar offences to seek visibility and release of certain amounts from a perpetrator’s superannuation to satisfy unpaid compensation orders derived from criminal or civil proceedings. The Act also seeks to allow compensation debts to survive perpetrators' bankruptcies, improving the changes for victims and survivors seeking to enforce such debts.

These amendments have been updated in the Point-in-Time Income Tax Service current to 2 June 2026 (NB: subscription required).
