Brand New LawOne Platform Now Live

By now, most customers of TimeBase are using our Brand New LawOne site exclusively. And from 30 September 2016, it became our brand new platform.

The Features You Known and Love

The new LawOne Platform still has the features you, as users, know and love, including the most accurate and comprehensive national legislation coverage in Australia with:

  • Full text current and repealed legislation across all nine Australian jurisdictions;
  • Full text bills for all jurisdictions;
  • Explanatory memoranda and second reading speeches;
  • Assent, notification, commencement, amendment, repeal details;
  • Extensive linking;
  • Tracking of future developments;
  • One user-friendly interface;
  • Twice-daily updating;
  • Customisable alert profiles; and
  • CaseLink services

The LawOne data is significant, added to twice-daily and contains at last count:

  • Over 96,000 pieces of legislation;
  • Over 180,000 amendment or repeal properties;
  • Over 62,000 cases;
  • Over 175,000 CaseLink relationships; and
  • Over 1.4 million documents (provisions) plus their 7.5 million related versions.

Over the years we have continued to make improvements - adding new features and content - and the system has served us well. But we pushed it well beyond its limits, hampering our ability to provide you with the innovative products you want now and into the future.

The New Platform Features

On 30 September 2016, our brand new platform became our primary legislation service. New features include:

  • Fully integrated all-jurisdiction parliamentary sitting calendars across all jurisdictions;
  • New VIC, WA, SA and CTH content uploads;
  • Brand new Draft Legislation reporting tools;
  • Brand new custom reporting tools;
  • Better profile management and profile administration tools; and
  • A dynamic new interface where components can be updated independently of the entire page meaning less bandwidth and faster page loads.
