Bullying in the Workplace to become a matter for Courts

Under a new move in Victoria by one of the blue collar unions, employers would be forced to move the bully away from their victim, as part of a new industrial strategy to target the furniture and forestry sectors.


The push will take advantage of new Fair Work Act provisions which allow court injunctions to be used to protect victims of workplace bullying. Furthermore, the CFMEU want to include a standard clause in every workplace contract that companies act swiftly and provide adequate support to victims of workplace bullying.
