The Employment Point-in-Time Service has been updated to include the Regulatory Reform Omnibus Act 2025 (Cth) (Act No 73 of 2025) and the Social Security and Other Legislation Amendment (Technical Changes No. 2) Act 2025 (Cth) (Act No 79 of 2025).
Act 73 of 2025
This Act delivers regulatory reform by amending or repealing outdated administrative provisions, and supporting increased efficiency and better service delivery from a broad range of Commonwealth regulators and agencies. Through these changes to several Acts, including the Paid Parental Leave Act 2010 (Cth), the Act aims to reduce the regulatory burden on Australians and businesses, and boost productivity and economic growth across the Australian economy.
Act 79 of 2025
This Act, among other things, prescribes an apportionment method for income earned, derived or received from employment between 1 July 1991 and 6 December 2020 inclusive, that better accords with the way in which the Social Security Act 1991 (Cth) (the Social Security Act) was administered during that period. The Act also makes amendments to social security and family payments law to reform and improve debt waiver regimes under the Social Security Act, the A New Tax System (Family Assistance) (Administration) Act 1999 (Cth), the Student Assistance Act 1973 (Cth) and the Paid Parental Leave Act 2010 (Cth).
These amendments have been updated in the Point-in-Time Employment Service current to 6 January 2026. (Note: Subscription required).
