Social Security Point-in-Time Service Updates

The Social Security Point-in-Time Service has been updated to include the Social Security and Other Legislation Amendment (Technical Changes No. 1) Act 2026 (Cth) (Act No 30 of 2026).

This Act includes amendments to the Social Security Act 1991 (Cth) and the Social Security (Administration) Act 1999 (Cth) to provide clear legislative authority under those Acts for the Secretary to provide an urgent payment for eligible social security recipients outside of the standard fortnightly payment cycle. This Act also amends the Social Security Act 1991 (Cth) to clarify the legal basis for the intended operation of the employment income attribution rules in Division 1AA of Part 3.10 of that Act.

These amendments have been updated in the Point-in-Time Social Security Service current to 20 April 2026. (NB: Subscription required).
