Currently there is a push from film companies worldwide to have Internet Service Providers (ISP) be more involved in tracking the downloads of illegal copyright material by customers.

Currently there are  a number of countries (including Australia) from around the world that have come together in an international effort to create a legal framework that will guide policy makers tasked with setting national copyright laws.

This international treaty known as the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA).

There is a push to have Internet Service Providers (ISP) held more responsible to monitor the actions of people downloading illegal pirated material
such as movies.

A policy known as the Three-Strikes Policy that cuts off customers internet access if downloading such material is being lobbied by the film industry. An ISP can cut off a cusotmers internet usage if caught out three times downloading illegal material.

Do you think that ISP should be held more responsible to monitor
such actions from their customers? If you were downloading such material would it make you stop?
