Employers breaking promise of workplace flexibility

The glossy pamphlet given to prospective employees paints a rosy picture of life at Bankstown City Council, one of Sydney's biggest.

''Flexibility'' and ''other working arrangements'' are promised, along with an assurance that ''we understand it's important to enjoy … other things outside of work''.

But it didn't turn out that way for Richard Aguiar.
