Working mothers are in an uproar over an announcement by the CEO of Yahoo, Marissa Mayer, to ban telecommunuting and/or working from home to develop the practices of the company.

In a news article from the smh, Yahoo claims the move will build corporate culture:

"To become the absolute best place to work, communication and collaboration will be important, so we need to be working side-by-side. That is why it is critical that we are all present in our offices."

However the move has been criticised by others such as Richard Branson for "for being out of step with the modern workplace."
