Social Security Point-in-Time Service Updates

The Social Security Point-in-Time Service has been updated to include the amendments from the Education and Training Legislation Repeal Act 2017 (No. 88).

Act 88 of 2017

The Act repeals the following four Commonwealth Acts within the Education and Training portfolio that are either spent or redundant:

  • Australian Research Council (Consequential and Transitional Provisions) Act 2001
  • Australian Technical Colleges (Flexibility in Achieving Australia’s Skills Needs) Act 2005
  • Skilling Australia’s Workforce Act 2005
  • Skilling Australia’s Workforce (Repeal and Transitional Provisions) Act 2005

The Act also includes a consequential amendment to the definition of “VET provider” used in the Social Security Act 1991 (Cth).

The amendments made by Act 88 of 2017 have been updated in the Point-in-Time Social Security Service current to 31 August 2017. (NB: Subscription required).
