Tuesday 16 January 2018 @ 9.08 a.m.

The Intellectual Property Point-in-Time Service has been updated to include the new principal regulation Copyright Regulations 2017 (Cth), as well as amendments made by the Copyright Legislation Amendment (Technological Protection Measures) Regulations 2017 (Cth).

Copyright Regulations 2017

These regulations remake the Copyright Regulations 1969 and the Copyright Tribunal (Procedure) Regulations 1969 into a single consolidated instrument, and modernise and update certain provisions of each instrument.

Copyright Legislation Amendment (Technological Protection Measures) Regulations 2017

These regulations amend and rename the Copyright Regulations 1969 and repeal the Copyright Tribunal (Procedure) Regulations 1969, and maintain the list of prescribed acts allowing for the lawful circumvention of access control technological protection measures until these are updated by the Copyright Regulations 2017.

The new principal regulation and the new amendments have been updated in the Point-in-Time Intellectual Property Service current to 16 January 2018. (NB: Subscription required).
