The Corporations Point-in-Time Service has been updated to include the Statute Update (Smaller Government) Act 2018 (Cth), Act 4 of 2018.

Act 4 of 2018

The Statute Update (Smaller Government) Act 2018 repeals three Acts and amends ten Acts across the Commonwealth to support the implementation of the Government’s smaller government agenda. The Act follows on from a series of government decisions relating to the abolition of a number of bodies announced in earlier tranches of the smaller government agenda.

Schedule 7 to the Act repeals Part 9 of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 (Cth) ("the ASIC Act"), which provides for the establishment, functions and operation of the Corporations and Markets Advisory Committee ("CAMAC"). The amendments to the ASIC Act abolish CAMAC. 74. Schedule 7 of the Act further makes a number of consequential amendments to the ASIC Act as a result of the repeal of Part 9 and provides for the transitional and savings arrangements that are necessary to reflect the cessation of the agency.

These amendments have been updated in the Point-in-Time Corporations Service current to 5 March 2018. (NB: subscription required).
