The Migration Point-in-Time Service has been updated to include the Home Affairs and Integrity Agencies Legislation Amendment Act 2018 (Cth) (Act 31 of 2018) and the Migration Amendment (Skilling Australians Fund) Act 2018 (Cth) (Act 38 of 2018).

Act 31 of 2018

The Act will give effect to the allocation of certain ministerial powers following the establishment of a new Home Affairs portfolio, and related changes strengthening the Attorney-General’s oversight of intelligence, security and law enforcement agencies.

Act 38 of 2018

The Migration (Skilling Australians Fund) Charges Act 2018 imposes a nomination training contribution charge payable by persons who are liable to pay the charge under the Migration Act 1958 and the Migration Regulations 1994. The nomination training contribution charge will offset expenditure from the Skilling Australians Fund, a training fund administered by the Department of Education and Training (DET), to support skills development of Australians.

The amendments made by these Acts have been updated in the Point-in-Time Migration Service current to 28 June 2018. (NB: Subscription required).
