GST Point-in-Time Service Updates

The GST Point-in-Time Service has been updated to include the Competition and Consumer Amendment (Australian Consumer Law—Country of Origin Representations) Act 2020 (Cth) (Act 94 of 2020).

Act 94 of 2020

The Competition and Consumer Amendment (Australian Consumer Law—Country of Origin Representations) Act 2020 will amend the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (the Act) to create an explicit power to prescribe one or more processes which will be deemed to satisfy the definition of ‘substantially transformed’ for the purposes of the country of origin provisions of the Act.

These amendments have been updated in the Point-in-Time GST Service current to 17 November 2020. (NB: subscription required).
