The Employment Point-in-Time Service has been updated to include the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia Legislation (Consequential Amendments and Other Measures) Regulations 2021 (Cth), the Paid Parental Leave Amendment (COVID-19 Work Test) Rules 2021 (Cth) and the Paid Parental Leave Amendment (COVID-19 Work Test) Act 2021 (Cth) (Act 99 of 2021).

Act 99 of 2021

This Act amends the Paid Parental Leave Act 2010. This Act will enable people to access parental leave pay and dad and partner pay who do not meet the current work test provisions because their employment has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, but who have been paid Commonwealth payments in recognition of this effect.

Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia Legislation (Consequential Amendments and Other Measures) Regulations 2021

This Regulation amends family law and court-related regulations to ensure that they continue to operate effectively following the commencement of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia Act 2021 and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Consequential Amendments and Transitional Provisions) Act 2021. It also makes minor and consequential amendments to other Commonwealth regulations to reflect the commencement of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Paid Parental Leave Amendment (COVID-19 Work Test) Rules 2021

These Rules amends the Paid Parental Leave Rules 2021 to allow calculation of the number of hours of qualifying work performed by people who have received a COVID-19 Australian Government payment to count towards the work test for Paid Parental Leave.

These amendments have been updated in the Point-in-Time Employment Service current to 8 September 2021. (Note: Subscription required).
