Blocked from Internet if you are a bad Country

A new article on smh.com.au has outlined the new movement, thought up by a former Intelligence officer, to ban countries from the global Internet if they harbour cyber criminals.

The Australian ISP industry is already making sure that Australian users who are practising something illegal on the Internet are effectively blocked, untill they clean up their computer.

The SMH states that these precautions are the direct result from "politically-motivated cyber attacks on critical infrastructure around the world, such as banks, emergency services and utilities".

Do you think these sanctions are a good idea?
