A parliamentary report warns water bills could increase by up to 20 per cent next year.

Increase by up to 20 per cent next year if the Tasmanian State Government's price cap is removed.

The Lower House Select Committee has called for urgent action to prevent a forecast $200 increase in household water and sewerage bills.

The Government, the Water Corporations and their local council owners to get together and work out a price mitigation formula
